Snipe-feather, mounted on a turned ebony-holder, lenght: ca. 19cm. Snipe-feather, the painter's feather, it is the perfect "nib" for sychronized fine lines or still readable small letters. Due to its shape, the feather holds a large amount of ink or colour and guarantees, in contrast to a brush, a long, thin line without any variations in thickness or ink-flow.
